Call for IBIS related patent disclosures: - None Call for opens: - None Review of previous meeting minutes: - Lance Wang moved to approve the Mar 20 and 27 minutes. Bob Ross seconded. Without objection the minutes were approved. ARs: - Mike LaBonte to complete BIRD appendix for parser contract. - Mike updated sections for BIRDs 180 and 182. New IBISCHK bugs: - None IBISCHK7 parser development: - Mike showed draft 6 of the IBISCHK7 parser contract document. - Mike: For BIRD 180 no change is needed. - The parser already flags duplicate pin names as an error. - Bob: Arpad had proposed allowing duplicated pin names for some purpose. - Mike: For BIRD 182 we not only do not require NC pins in [Pin Mapping], we warn if they are present. - Bob: NC can have two meanings - Not connected, possibly in one version of a die. - It does not have a digital buffer behind it. - The 555 chip has a pin that is connected to a capacitor, for example. - Mike: Only the first bullet requires a code change. - Warnings W0713 and W0714 seem to be the same warning. - Bob: One is in the [Component] [Pin] section. - The second is not clear, it might be an undeclared pin. - Mike: If it is NC it is declared as such in [Pin]. - It may be that an NC pin in [Pin Mapping] would give both errors. - It is not clear that IBISCHK tests for any of this. - Bob: We should try a test model. AR: Bob Ross to test BIRD 182 status in IBISCHK6. - Bob: I have started a guidance document for BIRD 189. - All that we could check for that BIRD becomes an exhaustive list. - The recommendation will be to not perform all possible checks. - Mike: We should cover all errors, but maybe not all warnings. - Bob: If two models conflict we can't say which is wrong. - Bob described a number of possible guidance recommendations. - Bob Ross moved to adjourn. Mike LaBonte seconded. - The meeting ended without objection. Meeting ended: 11:41 ET Next meeting April 10, 2018
